Wow. If you don’t know, now you know! Colorado based biotech and life sciences company Mydecine is making moves on the global stage!
Just a few months ago in December of 2020, Mydecine announced their first successful commercial harvest of psilocybin mushrooms. All 44 pounds were cultivated at a private mycology facility in Jamaica.
If that isn’t enough, the first actual shipment has arrived at Mydecine’s Canadian facility from Jamaica. How, you might ask? It has a Health Canada Schedule 1 Dealer’s License attached. This allows for the legal import and export, research and development, cultivation, product development, and commercial sale of active psychedelic medicinal compounds. Again, wow.
This means with the right label on it, 20 kilograms of psilocybin mushrooms can legally travel internationally. Mind is blown. We are certainly on the road to acceptance here. Joshua Bartch, CEO and Chairman of Mydecine, remarks, “this marks a milestone of fulfilling on the promise of creating a fully vertical and uninterrupted global supply chain.”
